Custom Style Sets: New Features
If you haven’t already used them, Custom Style Sets allow you to configure different character limitations for different types of campaigns or placements within the same channel. This capability ensures your messaging aligns with any and all unique campaign goals and guidelines.
We now have 2 additional features for Custom Style Sets: the ability to define touchpoints per channel and to configure custom channels for future use!
Configuring Touchpoints per Channel
In addition to setting character limitations, you can now define the default touchpoints generated per channel.
Navigate to the ‘Brand Management’ tab.
If you have an existing Custom Style Set you’d like to configure specific touchpoints for, select it from the lefthand toolbar.
If you’d like to create a new Custom Style Set, click ‘Create New.’
Default touchpoints will be listed on the top of the Style Set. Simply toggle the touchpoints you’d like on or off. Your preferences will save automatically.
Once you’ve created a Custom Style Set, you can use it during content generation to enforce the specific character limits and touchpoints. You’ll see a new field for ‘Style Set’ where you can select any previously defined styles for your campaign from the dropdown menu, like the “Black Friday Offer” set below.
If there are no Custom Style Sets defined for the specific channel, then ‘Default’ will be selected. ‘Default’ is the generic character limits that are set at the channel level under ‘Brand Management.’
A Helpful Shortcut: Custom Channels
If you’re using Custom Style Sets frequently, you may find our addition of Custom Channels handy! You will now see an option to select ‘Custom Channels’ when generating new content. You can think of Custom Channels as templates to save time so you only get the content back that you need.
‘Standard Channels’ are the Persado-provided channel fields, like email subject displayed above.
Click ‘Custom Channels’ to view all of the Custom Style Sets you’ve created sorted by channel. Click on any Custom Channel to select it.
Now, generate or improve content as usual. Note that by using a Custom Channel, you’ll only receive the touchpoints you’ve selected.
Short Paragraphs for Web Pages and Banners
By popular demand following our release of short paragraphs for email bodies, we now have short paragraphs for web pages and banners! With this feature, you can create longform Persado-generated web content and review Performance Predictive scores for how your message will perform as a whole.
The process for generating short paragraphs for web is the same as how to generate them for email. Check out the steps below if you need more detail.
Simply make sure that the ‘Short Paragraph’ element is in your content request to receive copy for the body of your web page or web banner.
Generate Short Paragraphs from Scratch
To generate short paragraphs from scratch, follow these steps.
Select “Web Page” or “Web Banner” as your desired channel for self-service content and then select ‘Generate from scratch.’
Enter as much information as possible as usual to get your request started. Good keyphrases capture a campaign’s main theme, product, and/or offer. When you’re ready, click ‘Generate.’
If you’d like Persado to generate a full web page (i.e., preheadline, headline, subheadline, short paragraph, and CTA), make sure to leave all of the pre-selected elements as is.
If you only want a short paragraph, feel free to ‘X’ out of any elements you don’t need.
Voila! Each Variant will now include a short paragraph that you can insert into your web page. Continue with your review as usual.
Improve Upon Existing Paragraphs for Web
Improving upon existing content is very similar to generating from scratch.
Select “Web Page” or “Web Banner” as your desired channel for self-service content and then select ‘Start with existing copy.’
Enter any existing copy you’d like Persado to improve for you. Make sure to enter a ‘Short Paragraph’ field to get improved content. Click ‘Generate’ when you’re ready.
Note: If you don’t enter existing copy here, you won’t receive anything back. If you don’t have existing copy, use the ‘Generate from scratch’ option instead!
Your control content will receive both a Performance Prediction score and Brand Alignment score for your reference. This way, you can compare it to Persado’s optimized copy when you’re choosing what to deploy in market as usual.
