We know that the original control message you use to improve content can sometimes change throughout the campaign planning process. We’ve made it easy to update your control as needed at key points in the process!

If you need to adjust your control during content generation, click ‘Content Refinement’ on the lefthand rail, click into your control to make edits, and click ‘Generate’ again. That’s it! You can re-generate as many times as you like and adjust as usual.

If your content has already been approved, you must first revoke approvals in order to adjust your control. Click the red ‘Revoke Approvals’ button on the review page and input any background for your team’s awareness, and then proceed with the steps below.

To return to your Variants page, click ‘Content Candidates’ on the upper lefthand corner.

Next, click ‘Content Refinement’ on the lefthand rail, make edits to your control, and click ‘Generate’ again. You’ll see your refreshed control message listed alongside the updated Variants.

There’s one final step to complete before returning to Variant review and approval: you’ll want to remove the outdated control message and then click ‘Update Variants.’ Otherwise, you’ll have 2 control messages saved as shown below.

You’re all set! You’ll see a message that the Variants updated successfully and you can proceed to reviewing as usual.
