Within 2 days of submitting your Creative Brief, Persado will provide Lo-fi design and copy mockups in Portal for your review for each channel you’ve requested. Have questions about what will be available for your review and how to leave feedback? This article is for you.
What are “Lo-fi” Mockups?
Persado Create works in two main phases:
Initial Lo-fi Mockup Review: Low fidelity previews are published for your review in Persado Portal. We’ll present specific pairings (e.g., Design A with Copy 1), but the design layouts and copy variations are fully interchangeable; you can mix and match any Copy variant with either Design A or Design B. Previews will always be accompanied with a Content Intelligence Brief (CIB) that outlines the strategy behind each Variant and gives a compliance overview.
The Goal: Select your preferred design and copy combinations and provide any specific feedback/edits you have. To help with decision-making, reference the Content Intelligence Brief (CIB).
Production-ready Asset Delivery: Once you select your preferred design and copy, we will build out all final, production-ready assets (fully QA’d) for deployment.
The Goal: Select 1 final design with up to 4 copy variations. Persado then prepares your content for market!
How to Review Mockups and Provide Feedback
Once your Variants are ready, you’ll receive an email notification that it's time to review. You can access the Variants directly from the email; or, in the 'Content tab' in Portal, you can click ‘Create from Brief’ on the left-hand menu to access all content we’ve generated from briefs.
1. Review your Variants
Read through the Variants to get a sense of overall messaging. All content will reflect the key information you provided with your creative brief, such as the campaign objective, product/offer details, desired action, and more.
As you review your Variants, you’ll notice different parts of your messages are underlined and color-coded. This is because Persado breaks up your messages into key elements: your narrative, emotions used, descriptive element, functional (CTA) element, formatting, and positioning. When you hover over the text, you’ll see the tag used.
2. Make Desired Manual Edits
There are 2 ways you can edit Variants on your own: by selecting AI Alternatives or making small manual edits.
Swap in AI Alternatives
Hover over the element you’d like to change. A comment and pencil icon will appear; click the pencil icon to view recommended AI alternatives.
A list of options will display (if available) showing the original phrase as well as recommended alternatives. Each option will also have an updated Performance Prediction score alongside it so you can maintain strong performance. Click the option you want to go with if you’d like to make a change; the Variant automatically updates and saves.
Make Manual Edits
The pencil icon may also allow you to make manual edits to the Variant text. Click on the text of the Variant to see if you can revise the phrase directly to update capitalization, punctuation, and more without having to request a revision. This can be especially helpful if you need to change small details in your offer.
Don’t forget to press the “Enter” key to save your revisions.
Download Variants to Share with Your Team
If you need to share Variants with your internal team members who may not have access to Portal, you can download the Variants in Excel format by clicking the ‘Download’ icon, then ‘Messages as Excel.’
3. Give Feedback and Request Revisions
If you’re happy with the Variants as they appear, simply click ‘Approve Variants’ at the top of the page.
If the changes you want to make can’t be done through AI Alternatives or manual edits, click “Request Revision” and let the Persado team know what you need, and we’ll get to work.
While you may collaborate with teammates using the comment feature, the revision feature is what officially notifies the Persado team that you need changes - so don’t let your edits get buried in comments! |
Before requesting a revision, make sure to review the revision summary. You can reference all comments to Variants in the ‘Remarks’ panel to make sure all of your team's feedback is captured.
When you're ready, click ‘Submit Revision’ to log your feedback. This will send your comments to the Persado team and they’ll get started on updates.
Ways to Comment
If you’re collaborating with teammates to discuss Variants prior to formally requesting a revision, there are three places you can comment:
On a specific element (by hovering over the element and selecting the ‘Comment’ icon)
The Variant itself (by hovering over the Variant and selecting the ‘Comment’ icon that appears on the right)
In the general comment box (by clicking the sidebar arrow on the right).
How should I use the general comment box?
We recommend using the comment box for general questions you’d like to ask your Persado team. Tag individuals by typing the ‘@’ symbol followed by a name. But first: make sure to review the Content Intelligence Brief (CIB)! It contains detailed information on our content approach, including what has historically performed well in your industry and standard compliance regulations we’ve vetted the content against.
Click ‘View Data’ to access the Content Intelligence Brief (CIB) any time.
4. Approve Variants
Persado incorporates feedback to the Variants based on your agreed-upon SLAs. Once your feedback has been incorporated and all members of your team approve, click the blue ‘Approve Variants’ button at the top right of the page. Make sure to use the comment box to let us know which design option you’d like to proceed with for production!
These approved Variants are considered final. If any changes are needed before deployment, contact the Persado team so they can update for you.
5. You’re done!
The Persado team gets to work on your production-ready assets.
