We’ve updated the Compliance Analysis workflow to be simpler and faster. Key improvements include:
Simplified two-step submission: Submit a project more quickly with fewer up front details. Guides users seamlessly through dedicated Details and Analysis stages for an organized review process.
Improved AI capabilities: View real-time disclosure recommendations, attach disclosures directly from the Disclosure Library, and use in-line text editing to update copy in a click.
Direct approval actions: Use simpler approval workflows to engage teams of reviewers with a full log of review cycles.
Archive and update capabilities: Keep your workspace clean by archiving an analysis (or restoring an old one) at any time, or even update the details from a project and re-run an analysis with new information.
Read on below for a step-by-step guide on how to leverage the new workflow.
Submit a Project for Analysis
In the top right-hand corner of Portal, click on the button titled ‘New Content.’
Based on your agreement with Persado, you’ll see a few different ways you can generate content. To analyze, select ‘Analyze a Single Creative’ and click ‘Next.’
Next, enter a few simple details. All you need to start an analysis is:
The name of your project (we recommend following your business as usual naming conventions).
Applicable to US clients only: Whether or not your audience is pre-screened.
The file or URL to be analyzed and the channel it will be deployed in.
Make sure to confirm the channel dropdown is accurate before moving forward.
Optionally, if you haven’t already provided a Disclosure Library to Persado, you can manually upload associated files at this step as well.
When you’re ready, click ‘Analyze.’ Your analysis will run in the background as you work, and may take a few minutes.
If the ‘Analyze’ button is not enabled, this means that a required field is still not filled in—so take a look and see what might be missing.
Can I update a project’s details after submission?
Yes! Once an analysis is submitted and is active, you can navigate to the ‘Details’ page from the left and adjust anything from the already submitted form. Be careful, though, because anything changed other than the analysis name will trigger a full reanalysis of the creative. You can even change the creative itself (e.g. if there is a more up to date version designed and ready).

Review the Analysis and Make Updates
On the Variants page, you’ll see a qualitative compliance risk scale to help you prioritize your review:
High (Red): Critical issues requiring immediate attention.
Medium (Orange): Notable risks that should be reviewed.
Low (Green): Minor issues or well-aligned content.
The compliance risk for the overall creative will be tied to the highest risk identified, as shown in the example below.
You’ll also notice colored hammer icons that indicate the compliance risk for particular touchpoints of the creative. Hover over the icons for an explanation of the issues, including relevant regulations to be aware of, so you can better isolate where updates are needed.
If you have uploaded a Disclosure Library, Persado’s AI Disclosure Assistant will automatically apply disclosures from your pre-approved library, ensuring every Variant carries current, legally mandated language by default. You’ll see these disclosures below your Variant for your review. Make any adjustments you need to these disclosures by following the instructions here.
Make Edits
Use the viewing icons to adjust the size of the creative and zoom in where needed onto the copy. Fitting the image by width or height is an easy way to use this toggle.
Pro-tip: With your mouse pointer over the image, click and hold the control button on your keyboard. Then you can use your mouse to:

Leverage AI Alternatives
Compliance risks will always be accompanied by a compliance summary and issues, and, if our AI determines it’s possible to do so without compromising the content of the message, AI Alternatives. AI alternatives are accompanied by the updated performance and compliance risk level that you will achieve by selecting them; click “Show More” if you’d like additional options.
If you like an alternative you see, select it with a single click to automatically update your creative and associated scores. This is a quick and easy way to address compliance risks before handing the content off to your internal team for review.
Edit Text
Hover any text box and click to reveal your editing options.
Your editing options include:
Refining the text with a single click or simply typing in the changes you’d like to see.
Manually editing the text, including fonts, formatting, alignment, and more.
Leaving a comment using the comment bubble on the top-left of the creative or from the side panel, tagging colleagues where needed.
Circulate for Team Approvals
When you’ve made all of your desired edits and are ready to approve, click the blue ‘Approve’ button.
If you’re the sole approver, simply click ‘Approve.’ If you have a team of people who need to review, click ‘Request Multiple Approvers’ and select the teams from the dropdown and include any comments for context.
If needed, you can alter the teams needed for approval. Read more here.
If you have never used the ‘Teams’ feature before, contact your Persado representative with the names, emails, and group assignments you’d like created so we can configure this for you behind the scenes. |
Reviewers can provide feedback and edit Variants using the same capabilities as before: AI refinements, manual edits, or leaving comments.
If the Variants look good, they can approve on behalf of their team.
You’ll be able to see all approval and comment history by expanding the right-hand panel. This way you can easily respond to and resolve comments and confirm all teams have signed off.
If for some reason you need to make a change once Variants have been approved, use the ‘Revoke Approval’ feature on the Variants page. This will undo the approval and make the Variants editable again, and a new round of approvals will be needed.
That’s it! When all Variants have been approved by the necessary parties, you can move on to the Setup phase of your campaign. Learn more here.
Note: If for some reason you need to share content outside of Portal, you can export Variants to CSV and circulate manually. Simply click the download icon above the Variants.
Pro Tips for Navigating the Portal UI
With this workflow update, all of your creative analyses will now be easily located on the lefthand panel in Portal, sorted by status.
To keep your queue tidy, we recommend the following best practices:
Follow your business as usual naming conventions. This makes it easy to keyword search your queue.
Archive any analysis to make it read only. This cleans up your workspace from tests and any invalid analyses. Click the three vertical dots next to any analysis to view this option.
You can ‘Restore’ an archived analysis at any time to its exact previous state.
