Once you’ve completed your first (or many!) Full Experiment(s) or Predictive Content, you’ll want to see which tags performed best, KPIs, results over time, and other performance metrics. This guide will take you through how to review the results of the content you’ve deployed and get the most from these learnings.

View Available Reports

To filter Full Experiments and Predictive Content to see only those with results ready to view, you can click the ‘Reports Available’ option on the left-hand toolbar (or through the Filter icon in the ‘Stage’ column). Click on a campaign to see its specific results.

The results that display, and how they display, depend on the kind of Experiment you ran: Predictive Content and Experiments with an Exploration phase provide different insights.

Predictive Content Reports

You can see how a particular Predictive Content’s Variants performed in comparison to one another as well as the control through KPIs such as clicks, conversions, revenue, and opens. This allows you to easily identify performance drivers and see the language elements that influenced content performance.

Experiments with Exploration Phase Reports

While Predictive Content reports allow you to view surface-level performance, Experiments that include an Exploration phase give much more granular insights. You can view the Best Predicted Variant (along with how this result was reached) as well as easily see which specific emotions, words, and concepts drive the most impact.

Like the Predictive Content report, you can also view Variant performance and how each Variant and the control stack up against one another.

Content Insights

This tab allows you to view which language elements resonate most with your audience and see how that stacks up against aggregated data across your industry.

Insights

Under the ‘Content Insights’ tab, select ‘Insights.’ The Overview page opens to display the top-performing tags, language, and phrases resonating with your specific audience. You may also see ‘Trending’ language, which shows how certain language is currently performing and evolving across your audience. The trends easily allow you to see which language elements have had the greatest upwards and downwards trends over the past month.

Under Language Performance, you can organize how aggregate results display by using the ‘Group By’ dropdowns. This way, you can quickly find the exact information you’re looking for right away. For example, you can group results by campaigns and ontology, or campaign tags and elements, etc., based on the insights you want to view.

You also have the option to view how each tag (e.g., emotional, descriptive, functional) is performing in a simple bar chart. This helps you understand which tag category has the biggest impact on performance for your account. In the example below, we can see that emotional language has had the biggest impact, as well as how many Explorations have been run to gather this data. Keep in mind that you will only receive this level of insight if you are performing Experiments.

When viewing this chart, you’ll notice that the percentages don’t add up to 100%. This is because not all tag categories are used in every Exploration, so the denominator of each category is different (e.g., Emotional % = # Explorations that Emotional tags contributed the most / # of Explorations that Emotional tags were used).

You’ll also be able to dig in deeper for each tag to see what specific language is performing well in that category. Below, for example, language that evokes gratitude has had the biggest impact.

Industry Insights

Under the ‘Content Insights’ tab, select ‘Industry Insights.’ This page compares results from the campaigns you’ve run (in gray) to those aggregated across your industry (in yellow). Similar to your specific ‘Insights’ page, you can view what language is performing well and trending across your industry and see how your own data stacks up.

At the top, you’ll see the Top Performing Tags and Trends sections, similar to the Predictive Content reports. You can see what’s performing well and trending in your own audience and compare it trends in your industry to strengthen your campaign strategy going forward.

The Tag Performance bar chart shows your audience’s top and bottom performing tags compared to your industry. The Performance Over Time line chart displays the top and bottom performing tags over a set period of time. For example, you could click on 'Excitement' to see your audience’s data displayed relative to your industry. These features allow you to adapt and plan your campaign strategy over time.

Reporting

This tab allows you to see aggregate campaign performance as well as campaign consumption. You can also see more granular insights for your campaigns.

Performance

Under the ‘Reporting’ tab, select ‘Performance.’ The Overview page displays the aggregated results across Full Experiments and Predictive Content you’ve completed and breaks performance down across 3 different views per metric: raw rates, lift vs. control, and incremental impact. You can filter results by specifying campaign type, KPI, and time period, among other additional filters (campaign tags, countries, segments, etc.). This is the most direct way to see how Persado is affecting your bottom line.

To view which Experiments and Predictive Content were used to produce these performance results, you can click on the ‘View Experiments’ hyperlink. A list of all the Experiments included in the results, as well as their individual metrics, will display.

Consumption

Under the ‘Reporting’ tab, select ‘Consumption.’ If available, this page shows how many Experiments you’ve completed within a customizable time range in the channel(s) you select. You can further filter results by selecting the “More +” option and choosing from categories such as campaign tags, countries, segments, etc. If you have yet to complete any Experiments, the fields appear blank.
