Which campaigns are best to test with Persado?

The following campaigns are great candidates for us to optimize:

  • Typical ad-hoc campaigns

  • Trigger and lifecycle campaigns

  • Evergreen content - we can help you find the best message and leave the winner in the market for an extended period of time

  • Any time it makes sense for business needs!

What is "Predictive Content"?

Predictive Content is a Persado messaging creation method that employs machine learning to produce up to 4 Predictive Variants. “Variants” are the variations on the control you provide us that are designed to deliver performance.

For more information, check out our Introduction to Predictive Content article.

What’s a "control creative"?

Persado requires a control creative to start the testing process. The control provides the creative direction for our AI platform, and acts as a baseline in measuring uplift.

In many cases, your control will be the existing creative that’s currently in the market (e.g., web page, banner image, email subject line/body).

Marketers can also choose to use a brand new creative as the control. If submitting a new creative that is not currently in market, best practice is that this control:

  • Remains applicable for the foreseeable future or until the campaign ends

  • Is in line with your brand voice and guidelines

  • Is not inspired by previous Persado content recommendations.

What does Persado typically change about my control creative?

With Predictive Content, and in the Exploration phase of Full Experiments, you’ll often see us make revisions to some or all of the following elements of your message:

  1. Emotional: Words and phrases that have an emotional impact - explore how we define our emotions here!

    • E.g., “From us, to you” (exclusivity), “Surprise - early access” (excitement)

  2. Descriptive: Different ways of describing an offer or product

    • E.g., “100,000 bonus points,” “Credit Card by Bank”

  3. Functional/CTA: Language that directly impels or prompts a specific action, response, or process

    • E.g., “Next Step,” “Apply Now”

  4. Formatting: Stylistic or structural elements

    • E.g., Bold or italicized, emojis, symbols, images, color

  5. Positioning: The placements of all the different components

    • E.g., Place CTA at the top of the page or the bottom.
