The daily digest feature in Portal automates your notifications so you receive a simple email summary of key activities. This article will show you how to schedule daily digests so you can stay on top of the tasks that matter most.
Daily Digest Basics
The daily digest is an email summary of activities in your Portal instance. Despite the name, it does not need to be sent daily—you can update your preferred cadence to daily, weekly, or monthly, but we recommend scheduling at least weekly. You can even customize the time of day the digest is sent to you.
The type of information you receive in a daily digest is up to you, but we recommend turning on notifications for the following:
Variants for approval – Get notified when new Variants are ready for review and approval by your team.
New comment – Stay in the loop when comments are posted on an Experiment’s Variants page.
Variants edited – See if one of your teammates has made edits to a Variant so you can re-review.
A daily digest including Variants pending approval by team is shown below. Notice that the Experiments are grouped by Teams pending approval, so you can easily see who still needs to sign off.

How to Schedule Daily Digests
Once you’re logged into Portal, click on your name icon in the top righthand corner. Then, click on ‘Notification Preferences.’
The page that appears next allows you to customize all of your daily digests settings. Start at the top by configuring basic settings.
Toggle notifications on and off by clicking the blue sliding button.
Update ‘User Notification Preferences’ Filters
Scroll to the bottom of the page. Here you’ll find another box where you can narrow down which accounts, channels, campaigns, and campaign tags you’d prefer to receive notifications for.
Hot Tips
These filters apply to all settings in the “User Notification Preferences” section (and not just the Digest). For example, if you have notifications turned on for ‘Variants for Approval’, and your filters are set to Channel = Email, you’ll only receive notifications for email Variants for approval.
Filters function as an “AND” (not an “OR”). For example, if you select “Channel = Email” and “Campaign Tag = Promotional”, you will only receive Digest notifications for campaigns that are BOTH Email and tagged as Promotional.
