When you and your team are happy with your Variants, there are 2 different ways you can deploy them: manually, or via an integration. Let’s go through each option.

Deployment via an Integration

  1. Deployment occurs in the ‘Setup’ phase of your campaign. Click on this phase to open your options for deployment.

  2. If you’ve configured an integration with the Persado team (for email or web, for example), you’ll be able to select it from the dropdown option and then click ‘Apply.’ Every integration is specific to your platform, so make sure to check with your Customer Success (CS) representative for assistance as needed. The ‘Deployment’ tab indicates the exact deploy date and time for your reference.

Interested in setting up an integration? Persado integrates with leading technology partners like Adobe, SFMC, Snowflake, Amperity, Braze, Optimove, and others. We can also support your vendor of choice for email, SMS, web delivery, and more via the Persado API or our Data Pipelines, which are platform agnostic.

Typically, the Persado team helps you configure this during onboarding, but if you’d like to set up something new, reach out to your CS representative for next steps.

Tips on Using the ‘Send to Remainder’ Feature

The "send to remainder" function in an Email Service Provider (ESP) allows marketers to send the winning Variant of an A/B test to the rest of their email list after a test period. This function ensures that once the A/B test determines which email version performs better—whether in terms of open rates, click-through rates, or another metric—the most effective email is sent to the majority of the recipients (or the remainder of your audience).

The benefits of this approach include maximizing the overall campaign performance, as more recipients receive the proven high-performing content; enhancing engagement and conversion rates; and making data-driven decisions that optimize future email marketing strategies. This allows you to both test different content and capitalize on those learnings within the same send. This standard capability within ESPs is a great complement to Persado content, and we highly recommend using it where you have the ability to.

Some of our integrations support this function natively; please check with your Persado representative to confirm.

A few recommendations from Persado to keep in mind:

  • Before using this feature, it's essential to ensure that the test audience size is statistically significant, the test duration is sufficient to gather reliable data, and the performance metrics align with the campaign's primary goals. Additionally, consider any external factors that might influence the results, such as seasonal trends or recent changes in recipient behavior.

  • The default duration of an A/B test is often set to 2 hours (meaning 2 hours after the initial send, the winner is sent out). This is great for one-time sends, where oftentimes the majority of the engagement happens early after receipt and those results are a good indicator of what to expect from the declared winner. You might consider extending this testing window if:

    • The send is more of an always-on or trigger-based campaign and send volume is low at the start.

    • If you know from your audience that most engagement happens later.

  • Choose the metric to define the “winner” carefully for your campaign. While opens, clicks, or another down-funnel metric may be available to choose from, choose a metric that will have enough response data to choose a reliable winner. If there are only 10 conversion events after that 2 hour testing winner, your winner may not be reliable. Choosing clicks as the primary KPI may be a better option for lower volume sends.

  • Consider the experience of your audience. Is this a time-sensitive offer? Be sure your send to remainder happens within an appropriate time frame.

Manual Deployment (No Integration)

If you don’t have an integration set up, you can simply copy and paste your desired Variants into your desired platform. That’s it!
