You asked, we delivered: you can now direct our AI to “Always Use” certain words or phrases in your content generation!
Using the Feature
When you’re generating or improving content, you’ll now see the Always Use feature under the ‘Additional Refinement’ field. Note that ‘Other Content Considerations’ have also been moved under this new section.
In the ‘Always Use’ field, enter any terms you want to make sure are included in the content generation.
Exact Match ON ensures the exact phrase shows up, as is, in the output. This is ideal for a product name or a specific phrase that describes a benefit (e.g., Silverton Plus Card, 3% cash back).
Exact Match OFF ensures the concept described shows up in the output (rather than the exact phrase). For example, you might toggle OFF when you want to see more of a theme, benefit, or value proposition that describes your campaign, but the way it is incorporated can vary, and it doesn’t need to be an exact match (e.g., security benefits, abandoned cart).
Once all of your inputs are in, click ‘Generate’ as usual to see language options.
As with any other input fields, you can always adjust the language you’d like to always include on the following page. Simply add or remove phrases and toggle exact match on or off and re-generate to get more options. You’ll see exact match phrases in every Variant.
Note: Inputs will be blended into the outputs naturally. Because of this, certain styles like capitalization may vary in order to maintain the flow of the messaging.
FAQs
Does ‘Always Use’ work for all channels?
Yes; you’ll now see this field when generating OR improving content for any channel that is enabled for your account.
When should I use the 'Always Use' field?
'Always Use' is best leveraged reactively. Use it when the model isn’t naturally including key offers or terms you want highlighted, or if you have another piece of information that is not in the control.
When should I use exact match ON versus OFF?
'Always Use' with exact match ON is intended for when you want to see the precise language returned back.
'Always Use' with exact match OFF prioritizes the concept or theme you enter over other goals like brand voice. Here are some more examples of how you might use exact match OFF:
To incorporate a value or benefit: “Security,” “Innovation,” “Health Benefit”
To incorporate a broad tone or emotion: “Urgency,” “Excitement,” “Wordplay”
To incorporate more symbols: “Use emojis,” “Use arrow symbols”
Tip: If you choose to use 'Always Use' for certain keywords, and are not seeing enough variation in the results, we suggest toggling OFF exact match. This gives the model more flexibility to phrase the message in a way that fits the short subject line while still conveying your key terms.
When should I use ‘Always Use’ versus input ‘Other Content Considerations’?
Don’t overthink which field to use; continue to use ‘Content Considerations’ as usual, knowing that this field is intended to prioritize performance.
Why am I not seeing one of my “Always Use” inputs?
This could be because the word or phrase exists in your Brand Management exclusion list, or because the algorithm couldn’t find a way to incorporate all inputs due to character length limitations or other brand guideline specifications. We recommend reviewing your Brand Management settings to confirm, or reaching out via the Support Chat with questions for any particular campaign.
